Description
This G80 differential only fits 8.5″ or 8-1/2″ 10 bolts with 30 spline axles on 1988 to 1998 C/K trucks or 1988 to 1999 SUV’s
When BET Performance rebuilds a G80 differential, we completely disassemble the carrier, clean it, and then we inspect all the parts.
Once disassembled, we check for and repair the following:
- Broken cam gear
- Stripped governor teeth
- Worn out case holes
- Worn out clutch packs
- Spun bearing journals
- Worn or galled cross shaft and pitted side or spider gears
After repairs, we carefully re-assemble the carrier, setting the internal end play back to within GM specifications. The old side bearings are removed and a new set of Timken side bearings are installed along with new bearing races. It comes with a new GM cross shaft bolt, then its carefully packaged and sent back to you for installation.
Units with new clutches are built to order, keep in mind that with these units there may be a 1-2 day shipping delay.
