You are buying a tool that is used to help install the forward or direct clutch piston on either a Turbo 400, 3L80, 4L80E or 4L85E transmission.

The tool replaces the crack prone plastic GM tool, it is very simple to use:

Lubricate the installer
Simply slide the protector over the center hub in either the forward or direct clutch drum
Install the forward or direct clutch piston assembly (the aluminum cast piston is shown – it will work on both the stamped and cast versions)
Remove the seal protector from the housing
