You are buying a tool that is used to air check the clutches and both bands in any GM Turbo 400 GM transmission.
- The tool is made of aircraft grade 1/4″ thick aluminum
- Comes with 8 5/16-18 & 5 1/4-20 flange head bolts for years of trouble free service
- It will NOT fit the 4L80E (electronic) series, but we have a compatible plate available
It bolts down in place of the valve body and allows the transmission rebuilder to apply air pressure into the transmission once it’s assembled. This is a good double check and an excellent way to diagnose internal leaks or damaged seals before installing the transmission.
Simply apply air to the holes provided and it will check the following internal components:
- Forward Clutch
- Intermediate Clutch
- Direct Clutch
- Front Band Apply
- Rear Band Apply
- Reverse Boost valve / sleeve
