Description
This 4L60 Air Check Test Plate is a tool you can use to air check the critical features in any 700R4 or 4L60 GM transmission.
- The tool is made of 1/4″ thick aluminum
- Comes with 21 grade 10.9 flange head bolts for years of trouble free service
- It will NOT fit the 4L60E (electronic) series
- This plate is made to work on both the 82-86 and 87-93 cases
It bolts down in place of the valve body and allows the transmission rebuilder to apply air pressure into the transmission once it’s assembled. This is a good double check and an excellent way to diagnose internal leaks or damaged seals before installing the transmission.
Simply apply air to the holes provided and it will check the following internal components:
- Forward Clutch (except on 87 – 93 with auxiliary valve body)
- Over Run Clutch
- Reverse Input Clutch
- 3-4 Clutch
- 2nd Band Apply
- 4th Band Apply
- Reverse Boost valve / sleeve
- Low / reverse clutch
- 3-4 Accumulator
