You are buying a tool that is used to install the factory cast iron shims back into the housing during a differential service or gear change. Only for use with bearing races that have a diameter of 3.062” (such as LM603012). No more hunting for that flat screwdriver or large punch, this tool greatly reduces the chance of cracking the factory shim.
NOTE: You still must ensure that the races are square in the housing prior to installing.
