Description
This is a 4L60E 4L65E dual seal accumulator piston SET (for 4L60E and 4L65E transmissions).
- This set includes two accumulator pistons – enough for one transmission
- MOST 4L60E transmissions (mid 1994 and later) and all 4L65E transmissions require one small (0.238″) and one large (0.310″) pin accumulator piston
- The upgraded accumulator pistons in this kit both use two seals to eliminate pin wear – unlike the OE pistons
- The stock pistons can accumulate pin wear in as little as 25k miles. This wear causes a hydraulic circuit cross leak and a loss of functionality
- In addition, we have seen the pinless versions cock in the bore and get stuck
- Our 4L60E 4L65E dual seal accumulator piston set solves the problem by providing two seals so that the pin stabilizes the piston in the bore
- The seals are included
ALL 700R4, 4L60 and very few early 4L60E transmissions require two accumulator pistons with the large (0.310″) diameter pin.
