Description
This is a dual seal accumulator piston set for any 700R4, 4L60, 4L60E or 4L65E transmission.
- This set includes two accumulator pistons – enough for one transmission
- ALL 700R-4’s / 4L60’s and some very early 4L60E’s require two large (0.310″) pin accumulator pistons
- MOST 4L60E’s (mid 1994 and later) and all 4L65E’s require one small (0.238″) and one large (0.310″) pin accumulator piston
- They provide higher spring preload than OEM pistons
- The stock pistons can accumulate pin wear in as little as 25k miles. This wear causes a hydraulic circuit cross leak and a loss of functionality
- In addition, we have seen the pinless versions cock in the bore and get stuck
- Our dual seal accumulator piston set solves the problem by providing two seals, so they help to stabilize the piston in the bore and reduce pin wear
